Our Staff

Kathy Pafford is our licensed aesthetician. She has worked alongside Dr. Jerrells since 2007. She brings to Joie de Vivre a wealth of knowledge from her previous positions with regional plastic surgeons. She is quite knowledgeable in the field of medical aesthetics.

Amber Ayers has been with Joie de Vivre as an administrative assistant since the office opened in December 2008. She is an assistant to Dr. Jerrells. You will often speak to her when she answers the phone, or calls you with lab results at the direction of Dr. Jerrells. She takes patient photos for their spa intake and performs blood draws. She may even give you an injection, again at the direction of Dr. Jerrells! She looks forward to seeing you again!

Ashley Short is our newest addition to our staff. She comes to us with five year’s medical administrative assistant experience. Please be patient, as she is still learning our panel of patients! She answers the phone and will greet you with a smile. She does behind-the-scene duties that keep our office running!

Brandi Barrett is also a vital part of our administrative assistant team. She is adept at obtaining prior authorizations for our patients and scheduling appointments when Dr. Jerrells refers to specialists. She is currently taking classes for medical terminology and medical coding. She also works diligently to assist Dr. Jerrells in getting patients what they need. Often this requires over 30 minutes on the phone with insurance companies and with doctors’ offices around the country.

Dr. Lisa Jerrells is the matriarch of our team. She leads by example in action, treats all people with dignity and respect, while maintaining honesty at all times. She actually performs all of the nursing duties at the office, including patient intake, obtaining vital signs, and ordering labs and tests.
